Incredible Ecclesia, the Virtuous is also a valid target, alongside the other forms. More fun is this one though. Dharc or Lynn searches Fairy Tail Luna, Luna searches Wind Channeler, and she can fix Wind Witches to their full combo.

My favourite masochist combo: terrifying toddler of torment, a normal rarity with the flip effect of sending a fiend from the deck to graveyard. Pitch soul scissors, it has the graveyard effect that when I monster is destroyed you can special summon it and destroy one monster on the field. So it means TTT is just a man eater bug where you get to keep the bug on the field.

Seriously guys, the synergy between cloudian and by order of the emperor is nothing compared to kagetokage + by order. You play a gadget r4 deck with gadgets, kagetokage, tin goldfish, chain summoning and by order. Normal summon thrice and draw a card each time and gadgets keep feeding you normal summons.

Eldlich send ojamagic, it can be send from hand or field so it makes you plus from either eldlich cost. Sadly is does make you plus by searching the ojama normal monsters but still.

I’ve tried cooking with Tour Guide in modern Lightsworn builds. Summon her to summon Fiendish Rhino Warrior from deck, link them into Cherubini, Rhino sends Archfiend Heiress from deck to grave, which searches Weiss. Then, use Cherubini’s effect to send main deck Minerva from deck to grave for cost, then mill 1 extra card. Congrats, thanks to Tour Guide you now have. Weiss in hand to combo with any Wulf or Felis you drew, and you have a name in grave to special summon Dragonling from hand. In a pinch, you could instead sent Vision Resonator off Rhino to search Crimson Gaia and another Vision, so you can combo with any level 6+ Darks you summon later.

So negate attack is meta side deck hmm

I've been wanting to try Zephros the Elite in Tri-Brigade. Get Zephros in grave, then on a later turn bounce Tenki with Zephros for a free body and another Tenki activation.

God Cat's Ear Tribe was my favorite. I even would put heart of clear water on it, not understanding that non-targeting destruction effects still work.

If Card of Safe Return came off the ban list, it would be able to draw out the entire deck off of an Ogdoadic summon combo with with Snake Rain for a funny Exodia FTK. If you add the Horus cards it becomes even more consistent by both deck thinning with King's Sarcophagus and Imsetty as well as their summoning effects adding extra draws so you don't have to start with all three Card of Safe Return in hand, especially with Coach King Giantrainer as an extra 3 draws and Promethean Princess + Amblowhale giving another summon on your turn as well as 2 summons as interruption on the opponent's for another draw per Card of Safe Return you have gotten on board.

When Drytron first came out i considered throwing in despondent since all drytrons are lvl 1 monsters that ss themselves easily and despondent cant be normal or set so it ignores their restriction. Of course it was a bad idea and didnt win many games but i did manage to pull off summoning despondent occasionally

One of the first decks I ever built was based of Meklord Emperor Granel, who I pulled from a Jump Magazine. I thought "Wow! His ATK becomes half the LP total? 4000 ATK!!!" so I started scrambling around looking for cards that destroyed themselves and played garbage like Karate Man and Plague Wolf 😂

Damn, i wish I could have responded to this thread, but the comment section will do well enough. To put it simply, Black Garden in Ancient Gear. It actually does a lot for the deck, primarily with going first, which gears normally struggle a lot with. Here's the combo with black garden and either wyvern, or frame: Normal summon, add advance, activate advance add catapult, tribute with advance, draw 1, activate black garden, activate catapult pop advance, summon tanker, tanker summon wyvern or frame from gy, pop black garden with tanker, then link off into ballista, add geartown, pop geartown, summon dark golem from deck, and add 2 of anything you need. Also, you can save your normal summon by just starting with advance, and, if you have it in hand, it's pretty easy to activate urgent schedule turn 1 as well. I usually go get a magical hound and a bullet train to make psychic end punisher, or I just get gizmek the immobile intellect and another dark golem, link them off for i:p, then use the gizmek in gy to summon back dark golem. For going second, black garden just gives you a bunch of small attack targets for chaos giant, which is really easy to get to in this deck.

so back in like 2015/2016 era I ran a giant chaos dragon pile and my combo was using wonder ballon's to fill the grave with light's and darks to facilitate the requires for things like lightpulsar blackflare wyvern burster collapserpent and BLs along with realizing that as long as I have a way to get black metal in the grave from field I could search my red-md yeah that pile was weird

Card of Sanctity with Thunder Dragon. If I didn't draw my one gold sarc or an Aloof Lupine, that would trigger the TD effects and I get two cards deeper into my deck. This was only a Duel Links thing I did prior to XYZ and Links coming out.

Funny combo: trap trick to set mystical refpanel, play allure of darkness, chain refpanel and make your opponent draw 2 and have to banish 1 dark monster or banish their hand, watch a snake-eyes cry if they dont have or draw diabellstar.

One synergy I was so proud to discover was between springans and tearlaments. Like, I went on a walk after ycs Niagara and realized that I could make time thief redoer super easily in springans just like tear and use their milling effects to my advantage to special summon springans monsters to the board off of springans brothers. I tested it out once and was hooked and this was pre tally-ho and Gigantic champion sargas. The extra deck was tight as fuck, but it was a real good time.

Just got one. I swear that I remembered OG Firewall Dragon having 4000 ATK. When I saw the first errata version with the alternate artwork I was like "wait why it's 2500 oh I guess this was actually named Firewall Drake or something like that and the Italian translation accidentally gave it the same name as Firewall Dragon".

I mean I don't play paper YGO because there isn't a locals near enough to me for it to even be remotely worth it to play physical. There is a single OTS in my entire Provence(Nova Scotia) and it's nearly a 2 hour drive to get there, and I don't drive meaning I'd ether need to find someone who could take me every week, or pay $50+ per week to take the bus so I can go and play. It's simply not worth spending $200+ a month to play YGO before you even get into buying the cards, when I could spend that same money on Master Duel if I really wanted to play YGO. Or I could save my money altogether and play on YGO Omega or Duelling Book for free, and spend that $200+ a month on other far more valuable things. Like I love YGO, I've played in events before when there were some "close" to my home town when I was a kid, I play the online simulators, I've basically 100%ed Legacy of the Duelist Link Evolution 4 times, and honestly wish they would do another refresh update on that game to add more cards and maybe even add some new duels to do. I just can't justify spending $2400+ a year to play any game. I would honestly love if there was an OTS in my town, I'd likely go in and play weekly and enjoy myself and love playing the paper game again, but the chances of that happening seem to be nearly zero seeing as there isn't even a MTG store in my town. There used to be one, they closed due to lack of interest from people around here. I did get a large set of bulk with the intention of trying to learn MTG. Learned very quickly that I hate the keyword system and would much prefer effect text to just be written on the card. Come on MTG players, words aren't scary. You can have them on a card. "But it's the same effect as X card!" yeah and I've never seen that card before in my life, so that means nothing to me. Just write the effect text!

We talking synergies? A friend of mine made some hodgepodge deck of Fabled, Chaos, and Dark World. It sounds like it shouldn't work, but it does, and I hate it

My synergy is that Kashtira Riseheart is both a Level 4 and a Level 7, so in a deck like Vaalmonica that can pendulum summon Riseheart to avoid the Xyz lock, you can use Riseheart as material for a Rank 7 monster like Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon, link that away into Cross-Sheep, which then lets you cheat out Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon into a Sheep zone, which allows you to revive Riseheart and use him as either link material or a body for a Rank 4.

I actually remember using By Order of the Emperor as well, but with Aurora Paragon instead.

My favorite was mashing Terrorking Salmon, the Phantasm Spiral cards, and the Monarch cards together. Terrorking Salmon is a normal water monster so almost all the Phantasm Spiral cards work with it. And Terrorking Salmon has 5 stars and 2400 atk and 1000 def, which has identical stats to all of the 1-tribute monarch monsters, so all the Monarch support works for it because for some reason they check based on atk and def and whether or not a tribute happened. And Pacifis was constantly creating a token for me to tribute summon the Salmon, and Summoner's Art made it fairly consistent that I could find my Salmon when I needed to. It wasn't very good, but it was fun. It also lost value when Skill Drain became unlimited because The Monarchs Erupt was this deck's Skill Drain that could be played back when Skill Drain was on the Ban List.

Here is one, Crossout Designator can be used as a play starter in Ghoti by banishing a Paces/Shif on your turn so you can summon it in your opponents standby. It can also be used to vanish a monster so Nemeses Corridor can shuffle it back to summon itself, allowing you to go into Thunder Dragon Colossus.
